FVWBL MEMBERS TO HAVE RIVAL ALLEYS
January 23rd, 2003
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Ping-pong,
Mario Party, Griffey Baseball
and wiffle ball weren't enough. Competition will continue
between Mike Kroona and Adam
Flaherty in the business world as well.
Tuesday morning Mike Kroona unveiled kroonascosmic.com,
a site that will compliment his new venture. Kroona promises
to bring better technology to the bowling alley, but refuses
to surrender a competitive advantage by going far into detail.
Another area where Kroona would like to change
procedure from the place he usually does his bowling is by
banning smoking from the premises.
"It's really kind of a strange situation,"
said Frank Viola, FVWBL CEO and Commisioner. "Here we
have two guys who are the best of friends and now they are
going against each other in business. Maybe even more, Mike
has done the majority of his bowling at the place he will
now try to put out of business."
In an email interview, Kroona told FVWBL.com
that while he hasn't laid out the details, he has one thing
that will put his opponent out of business: a slogan. Kroonascosmic.com
implores, "Come on down to Kroona's where every game
is Perfect!!!"
Remaining to be seen is whether or not the
competition in business will heat the rivalry in FVWBL events.
No events are currently scheduled, but it is rumored that
bowling may be the next event. There is no word on whether
or not Viola will choose a resident bowling alley for FVWBL
events.
Adam Flaherty couldn't immediately be reached
for contact.
