Adam Edges Mike, Judd For Final Playoff Spot
The Frank Viola Fantasy Football League's regular season finished in exciting fashion Monday Night. Drew Bennett came out of nowhere for the Forest Fires to kill any hopes of the playoffs for Mike's Tough2Tackle club. In the end it didn't matter as Adam escaped yet again, holding on for a one point victory over Bill's Challengers. He makes the playoffs after one-point victories in the final two weeks of the season.

Judd's hopes were dashed on Sunday when Brett Favre turned up his second lackluster performance in as many weeks. Baltimore's defense put up 20 points and that proved to be too much. Judd didn't need to sweat out Adam's victory over Bill -- his season was long over.

Shelly's and Dave's club didn't have much pride in a game for which pride was the only stake. Dave's team could only muster up 47 points; a total good enough only to beat Shelly's 32 in the final week. (Dave seems to have these kinds of games at the right times)

The playoffs pit Adam's 7-7 club against Bill's 9-5 team and Dave's 9-5 team against Kevin's 9-5 club. That's right -- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the regular season was decided by nothing more than points accrued over the course of the season. Fourth place was had by one game over the three 6-8 teams. Shelly, Judd, Jake and Mike will take part in the consolation bracket with nothing to look forward to but the baseball season.

For the time being, all old stuff can be viewed by clicking here. I would like to convert it to the new format at some point, but it is low on the priority list and may take a long time.
