KATIE TAKES GREG, FAMILY MEMBERS AS FIRST RECRUITS

Katie Mroszak is bound and determined when it comes to FVWBL contests. As competitive as she is on the field, it intensifies when it comes to the FVWBL web page. Shortly after Adam Flaherty challenged her to a posting battle on the FVWBL web discussion board, Katie ran up approximately 85 posts in about 10 days to capture her third "viola."

The web site statistics have benefitted greatly from the posting war as well as an expanding web page which catches many more search engine search strings than ever before. Katie thought that members could take another step -- recruiting new members for the web board.

And so the contest begins. Whoever can recruit the most members from March 23rd, 2003, to the same date in 2004 will get a prize from the FVWBL. Also, whoever's recruits participate the most on the webboard will also win a prize. Perhaps one person could even take both awards.

A special recognition was granted by allowing "The Greg," Mroszak's friend to be the first recruit even though he didn't fall within the specified dates of the contest.

"The contest really came out of the spirit of 'The Greg,'" said FVWBL President Judd Berthiaume. "I think it's only fair if he counts for one of Katie's recruits."

Katie didn't stop there, however. Soon after the contest began she had both her mom and her sister signed up for some FVWBL banter. It is expected that she will continue her push to make the discussion board popular in her own name.

Mroszak hasn't taken an FVWBL event lightly to this point and it isn't expected that she will in the future. If anyone is going to challenge her for the recruiting prizes they better start now.
