Starting with a bye, the trio moved on to face the winner of Becki/Mike and Maria/Mark. Becki and Mike scored the only run in that contest, before dropping their second game 6-3 to Missy/Bill/Adam. Kathleen, fresh of a Division III National Championship victory, took care of Shelly and Judd by a 1-0 score with the help of Dan's solo blast, and then knocked Missy, Bill, and Adam into the losers' bracket. Shelly and Judd would take out Mark and Maria before succumbing to Becki and Mike's remarkable run. Next, however, Becki and Mike had to take on Missy, Bill, and Adam for the second time and fell for the second time in as many meetings.
Dan and Kathleen were in the championship game unbeaten, but that wasn't enough on this Memorial Day. They dropped two straight to Missy, Bill, and Adam.
Female home runs were hit by Missy, Becki, Shelly, and Kathleen.
The Frank Viola Wiffle Ball League's next scheduled event is July 3rd at a time to be announced.
