Adam might have played his last wiffle ball tournament of 2005 over the July 4th weekend, and he was determined to make it a good one. A good one it was, as he and sister, Rachel pounded out 37 runs over 6 games. It wasn't enough, however, to overcome Mike and Eric as each of them picked up their first 2005 victory by going 4-1 and ultimately finishing off Adam and Rachel in the "if necessary" championship game.
Cody, teamed up with Judd, started his Frank Viola Wiffle Ball League career off strong with a 3rd place finish. They went 2-2, losing the critical opening game to Eric and Mike by a 2-1 score after a close play at 2nd base allowed the critical 2nd run.
Andria, teamed with Dave, also started her wiffle ball career successfully, finishing 1-2 and finishing 4th place. Andria homered in an 8-5 loss to Cody and Judd while Dave was virtually unstoppable at the plate all day long.
Shelly and Bill finished 5th while Dan and Becki finished 6th in the second FVWBL tournament of the 2005 season. The next wiffle ball tournament hasn't yet been scheduled.
Notes:
-Shelly, Andria, Becki and Rachel all homered at least once in the July 3rd tournament.
-Adam heads off to the University of Nebraska-Omaha to begin work on his graduate degree.
